Longing in the Loneliness

Sometimes into the starry sky
When you look upon with gleaming eye.
The twinkling things that you find
With the silvery moon glowing bind…

Often you lift your hand
To touch the dreamy land
And lo! What you get so
The moon is so far to go…

Sudden shudder enters your heart.
When you can’t touch the moon apart.
A silent tear always crosses
From the border of weary eyes.

The dream born in your heart
Slowly fades away from the part.
Still you wish, hope and dream.
To get the cherry on the cream.

More alone you become
Then the more you will learn.
That still we are longing in heart
What we can’t get in the teary earth.
